"Start by doing what is necessary, then do what is possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible." -- St. Francis of Assisi
I have a love/hate relationship with this time of year. I love it because we get the first glimpses of spring which provide a massive amount of optimism for what’s around the corner. I hate it because I can never get myself to accept that we’re still 3 full months away from rounding the corner, where we are rewarded with nice weather on a consistent basis.
So I continue to focus on what is possible, which is remaining indoors. It is unfortunate that riding outdoors now seems like an impossible, or at least a highly improbable. I’m not sure if it’s a result of not being open minded enought or just downright impatience, but I’m really dying to get outside.
I did my 3rd 1,000 TT today in the pool and broke the 14 minute barrier for the first time, although only by a single second. Although I am spending a fair amount more time on my swimming, I still seem to stink just the same. When do we get to the impossible part again? :)

Hi steve,
My name is Nathaniel Tollefson and a group of us are going out to Wildflower this spring and I saw you were going as well. I have a bike transport service from Minneapolis and we are pulling our bikes out there overland to avoid the airline charges. email me if you are interested in shipping your bike with us.
